HabitIt ("we", "our", or "us") operates the HabitIt mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.
Data You Provide: When you use HabitIt, you may enter habit names, goals, journal entries, and other personal tracking data. This data is stored locally on your device.
Account Information: If you choose to create an account for cloud sync, we collect your email address and authentication credentials provided through third-party sign-in services (Google, Apple).
Usage Data: We may collect anonymized analytics data such as app opens, feature usage patterns, and crash reports to improve the App. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
Health Data (optional): If you enable HealthKit (iOS) or Health Connect (Android) integration, the App reads specific health metrics you authorize (e.g., steps, water intake, sleep) solely to sync with your habits. Health data is not transmitted to our servers and remains on your device.
Your habit data is stored locally on your device by default. If you enable cloud sync, your data is encrypted in transit and stored securely using industry-standard practices via Firebase. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information.

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing the use of your information.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you personally. If you use the Profile Sharing feature, the data you explicitly share is visible to the people you invite.

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Your data remains on your device for as long as you use the App. If you delete the App, locally stored data is removed. If you have cloud sync enabled, you may request deletion of your cloud data by deleting your account within the App, after which your cloud data is removed permanently.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
